Second Time Around Tour

Peggy's Cove
1. Dartmouth Day
2. York Redoubt and Dingle Park
3. Peggy's Cove
4. Uniacke House; Windsor; and Airport Airplane Museum

This visiting tour is a  more low key, mainly centered on returning family who just want to spend time with you but also wouldn't mind seeing some things they hadn't seen last time.

1. Dartmouth Day

a. Rainbow Haven Beach
b. Sam's Seafood Restaurant (Dartmouth Restaurants)
c. Mic Mac Mall
d. Dartmouth Breweries

2. York Redoubt and Dingle Park

If you leave for York Redoubt in the morning you can spend a good amount of time there walking around the trails and reading the history of the fort.

I like to pack a lunch and head from York Redoubt to Dingle Park for a picnic. The park is beautiful and there's a tower there that you can climb to the top of for a nice view of the surroundings during the summer months. It's got walking trails there as well as a beach area which we have yet to explore.

3.  Peggy's Cove

Whether it's the first visit or the fifth, or even if you live in HRM, there's never a bad weekend to head to Peggy's Cove. It's so beautiful there and if you catch a day where the waves are roaring it's absolutely mesmerizing (just don't walk onto those wet rocks, it ruins it for everyone else).

Peggy's Cove, NS
We always leave in the morning and take the scenic route (not really longer from us and always the favourite. Visitors notice when we take the other route - when we go from there to downtown Halifax - and have commented that it's not as picturesque taking that way back)

Looking for a place to go for lunch after spending the morning at the Cove? We recommend these restaurants (Lunch by Peggy's Cove).

The Finer Diner
White Sail Bakery

4. Uniacke House; Windsor; Airport Airplane Museum

If you're looking for a low key day, Windsor
